Typography, Branding, Screen Printing

Brief: Re-brand a design studio given to us, creating a new brochure for the design studio.

SPIN: 360 was the given design studio for us to research into and develop a well thought out design solution that matched the studio's client base and vibe. Knowing SPIN: 360 had a playful, innovative approach to design with outstanding practises for typography, I knew I wanted to push myself and truly reflect this in my re-branded brochure.

I used experimental type with a bold and clean finish, using scale to provide energy. Every 'page' was a circular design, the folds presenting natural areas for imagery and information. The idea of all the pages of the brochure being individual and 'loose', as well as folding out into circles, relates not only to the design studio's name 'SPIN: 360' but to their inherent experimental and tactile nature.

I thought of everything the way it would be read and handled. I laser-etched into a piece of wood that worked as the anchor/button which neon orange string tied up around the brochure, like a parcel - imitating a 'spin' and 360 feel. The outer sleeve was screen printed neon orange and on translucent paper to see the inside come through, which opened up into a poster.
